If you’ve never had a boil, then you can’t know the pain and stress that somebody can go through. Very disturbing! They can errupt in the worst possible places: under your arms, along creases and skin folds, inside the thighs, on your face. The discomfort is terrible. What can you do?

Boil lancing is a common method used by doctors to treat boils. What is this procedure? By using a lancet (which is a small knife with two cutting edges and a sharp point that a doctor uses when cutting the skin), the doctor will cut into the boil, then he will drain the infected pus (mostly composed of white blood cells, which is body’s way of trying to stop the infection) and clean the area. Boil lancing as a procedure can be painful and in many cases you will find that the infection re-occurs, requiring further lancing. Lancing a boil yourself is not recommended as it can spread infection.

The scars left after boil lancing can fade away in time, but it may take several years. Permanent scars are also possible depending on the severity of the boil. That is not something desireable. It should be avoided. Find another rmethod.

The cause of boils is an infection with the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus. Recurrent boils can occur in people with decreased immune function, diabetes, chronic gastrointestinal problems, under active thyroid, lowered resistance due to borderline nutrient deficiencies, and chronic emotional stress.

Also, besides boil lancing, you can take antibiotics. In fact boil lancing is used together with antibiotics. If you just take antibiotics, it won’t work. And you have to consider that negative side-effects, too.

When you go to a doctor, the standard procedure is to put you on antibiotics because he was intends drain the boil with a lancing, this being a common and a good course of action, to at least try to reduce the infection nearest the blood supply so that it isn’t forced deeper during the lancing procedure. But just to be clear: antibiotics alone will NOT cure boils.

The heat method, whic is used to induce the boils to come to a head for faster drainage can also be achieved with a hot compress and the hot sitz baths.
You should keep in mind that bursting a boil (boil lancing) can spread it, leaving scars, and usually does no good until the core is expelled.

But there is another method to cure boils. It can help with pain, inflammation, heat, stinging, sensitivity, itching. Also, these boil breakouts that you’re going through could be your body saying to you that it’s weak and needs to be cleaned out to rebuild a new, stronger internal system.Read more about this method and see how these may help you avoid boil lancing and antibiotics.
